Thanks for sharing info. That really makes me think it is lot of effort and time before we will actually see LW32, which is the only interesting book for me. I have the original "EL editions" (italian) books from LW01 to LW28 from the 90s... no intention to buy them again, sorry. Maybe if you make them work with Kindle... I would prefer they would save the focus and resources for Light of the Kai, but if the plan is different, I also wish them success with reprinting of the books. All the best.

I wonder if there have been delays - bit surprised book one is supposed to ship this month, but we've not heard more on it since July.

I wonder what to do with my half baked and still unread collectors edition, three volumes before completion. Apparently the Definitive Edition will become, what the Collectors Edition shoud have been in the first place... should I really get a fourth variant of the series??? I´m all out of panickability by the way, there has run too much water down the desasterstream of lone wolf. =)
Does anyone know if there will ever be a Collectors Edition variant of the books 28, 29 and 32 in the current design?

Does anyone know if there will ever be a Collectors Edition variant of the books 28, 29 and 32 in the current design? One important thing to understand: the "Collector's Edition" tag only applies to book 1 to 28, as they are re-released versions of the old ones. The main difference with previous editions (except for the hardcover): a bonus adventure is included (except for book 1). We got confirmation in another thread that a Collector's Edition version of the unabridged book 28 (with a BA) is still considered, probably next year: linkAs for book 29 to 32, they are considered First Editions (as it is the first time they are published. Notice the absence of the "Collector's Edition" tag on the covers of 30 and 31 versus the other books: link). Book 29 and 30 have a bonus adventure, 31 doesn't (because the text is too long) and 32 probably won't have one either (since it will have 551 sections). So no, you won't have a Collector's Edition version of these books (although you could say that these First Editions are no different than the Collector's Editions, except for the missing BA in 31 and lack of tag on the covers). Since book 31 doesn't have a BA, is illustrated by Nerdgore, has a cover by Alberto Dallago and a map by Francesco Mattioli, even if it is considered a First Edition, can we also say it is a hardcover Definitive Edition too? Same thing could apply to the upcoming book 32 as it will be published once all the other books are published in their Definitive Edition version. A Definitive First Edition for Collectors?

I've wondered that too (about books 31 and 32 being essentially what we might expect from the DEs) I suppose Alberto could do a new front cover, but he would be hard-pressed to improve upon the beautiful pieces of work that he did for the First Editions. They could of course include MORE Nerdgore drawings (on top of the others) and if they are balancing the New Order books then there might need to be a few changes in the final saga books. 30 is too easy if you are a book 21-29 veteran character for instance.

Thanks for the quick answer. This is reassuring, so I won´t be left behind with a missing (matching) volume 28. =) So back to the wishfull thinking part of our passion... What I´d consider to buy as a fourth variant of the series, would be a leatherbound Final Edition, just like some really old books, probably with 3d reliefprinted coverart. Who is with me? =)

Let us not worry too much about the later books. The publication of DE1 to 5 is all that mqtters for now. Hopefully, DE1 by 27 Nov 2021, the day i turn 38. For DE1, is the story going to be the original 350 section version where Lone Wolf got knocked out or the politically correct version as depicted in the CE?

Will there be adjustments made to the COMBAT SKILL of certain opponents like the Chaos Master and the Zakhan Kimah? Will Shamath's riddle be made solvable? Will there be changes along those lines?

Both of those specific things you mentioned have already been done in Mongoose's CEs. Take a look at the errata pages on the PA editions of 6, 9, 11, and 16.
It stands to reason those changes will be carried forward to the DEs.
