Lol what happened to the discount for buying all three together? On the page of each book: However, on the said Books Shipping Page, there are no details. I think the discount on shipping is applied only once you made your pre-order. But if you meant to have a discount on the price of the books by buying all three, I don't think it was ever planned like that.

When the books were briefly up for pre-order last week, there was a 10% discount for buying all three. If you had two books in your cart, it even prompted you to add the third book to receive the discount. This was separate from the bundled shipping discount. I’m mostly just amused that I held off on ordering last week because I was sure the prices were incorrect, then they got even more expensive.

Maybe the extra time they spent before putting the pre-orders up again was used to recalculate the prices.

I hope we have more info on the "supplementary material" then was there in the accidentally uploaded book descriptions the other day - might interest me enough to buy 2/3 depending on what it is. My guess is that they will do like they are currently doing in the French version. In book 29 and 30 (I think they have also done it with the reprints of book 1 to 3 but I don't own them, so I can't check), at the end of both books, we have extra lore on various places or characters met in the books. For example, in book 30, there is an entry for Steel Hand, Dame Judyth, the Negud-kor-Adez...

Can confirm, Black Cat, that they’ve added exta lore - Les Archives de Magnamund - on the latest versions of Book 1, 2 and 3 as well.

Cheers both! Anyone else notice that the font & text size for the book name, author name & series name are in book one is different from book two & three? Weird to not standardise that unless one is placeholder or something. I like the new book 1 art, though the "flight from the dark" text is perhaps a bit too big - and too close to poor lone wolf's head! Looks like the A and R become his hair lol

Magnamund.com will be updated when the final designs are ready.

There is a lot of information in the comments section from Ben.
-Ben confirms that future books should be released in batches of two or three books, "in a way that makes most sense to the story". Next batches should be books 4 & 5, then 6 & 7, and finally 8 to 10. -Paperbacks of books 1 to 3 should be available next spring (April or May). -The books will be released in epub format at the same time than the paperbacks. -CE version of book 28 will come next year. -Ben Devere might be going to London's Dragonmeet next December to use this event as a launch event for the DE (if he can get some copies printed in time). -Ben confirms that Holmgard Press will release the best Bonus Adventures of the CE in a compendium at some point. -To someone asking if the original 350-section version of FftD might get a re-release, Ben simply answered "Watch this space" -The books is currently being translated to Spanish.

How would I use it? Where would I buy these? Epub is a format for e-books: link (like .jpg and .png for images). I said Epub, but it could be any other format. Probably when Holmgard Press releases them, they will be available on magnamund.com along with the physical copies of the books.

He also said that you can purchase the paperback versions on Amazon Prime, which might cover off free shipping for those with memberships? I think I'll still go with the hardcovers as they will be good collector's items.

Yeah, the hardbacks will at some point sell out as they don't intend to keep producing them, only the paperbacks. The HBs will very likely be worth much more once they do run out.
Interested that Ben mentioned about putting the BEST of the bonus adventures in a compilation, rather than all of them in multiple volumes like has been hinted at before. Some of the Mongoose BAs aren't that great or outright go against established lore so I can understand that they may not want to officially canonise them with a Holmgard Press release.

Whether the hardbacks are worth more than the paperbacks depends very much on the number of hardbacks printed and sold. On a per title basis... If only less than 420 copies are printed and sold, it will be a rare item. If it is less than 300 copies, it will be super rare. On the contrary, if more than 700 copies are printed, it will likely take Holmgard more than 3 years to sell, resulting in the value of hardbacks being about the same as paperbacks, even in six years time! As such I sincerely hope that about 480 copies of each title is printed for hardcover DE. 450 to 500 may be the optimal number of copies to be printed for each title. Further, it would be great if each copy has a number labelled on the first page, e.g. 86 of 500. And Ben Dever's signature is important!

Not just some of the ones published by Mongoose that aren't that good: the one in book 27, 'Shadow Stalkers', should be edited (my full opinion here) and I know I'm not the only one thinking like that ( andyc: I know that in your case, you loved it). I don't exactly share this opinion, but I even saw someone on Facebook saying that it was an insult to the customers who bought the book from Holmgard Press!
