I've wondered that too (about books 31 and 32 being essentially what we might expect from the DEs) I suppose Alberto could do a new front cover, but he would be hard-pressed to improve upon the beautiful pieces of work that he did for the First Editions. They could of course include MORE Nerdgore drawings (on top of the others) and if they are balancing the New Order books then there might need to be a few changes in the final saga books. 30 is too easy if you are a book 21-29 veteran character for instance. Let us not worry too much about the later books. The publication of DE1 to 5 is all that mqtters for now. Hopefully, DE1 by 27 Nov 2021, the day i turn 38. For DE1, is the story going to be the original 350 section version where Lone Wolf got knocked out or the politically correct version as depicted in the CE? DE1 will follow CE1!! Lovely!! |

Thanks for sharing info. That really makes me think it is lot of effort and time before we will actually see LW32, which is the only interesting book for me. I have the original "EL editions" (italian) books from LW01 to LW28 from the 90s... no intention to buy them again, sorry. Maybe if you make them work with Kindle... I would prefer they would save the focus and resources for Light of the Kai, but if the plan is different, I also wish them success with reprinting of the books. All the best. I will be buying the DE hardcovers if the price is less than £28 a book. Including the cost of postage to Asia, i could only afford up to book 17, or 18, if each hardcover is priced at £20. |

I wonder if there have been delays - bit surprised book one is supposed to ship this month, but we've not heard more on it since July. It's the first day of the month, give them time. If by October 20th we don't have any news, then you can start panicking! Commencing panicking! |

Hmm… So DE2-3 are using Gary Chalk’s original artwork. I thought the plan was to have nerdgore do all 32 books. Love Gary Chalk’s art, but I wonder why this changed. Also, no mention of Alberto Dal Lago covers for books 2-3… I can get on board reprints of Gary Chalk’s art, but I really hope the covers are consistent across all 32 books, and I really want those Alberto Dal Lago covers on English editions of LW.

At least reusing old artwork should allow for a consistent release schedule. Covers, maps, art, text… everything already exists and just needs to be edited into one package.
Final thought: 20 pounds is more than I was expecting each book to cost. No bonus adventures should mean slimmer, therefore cheaper, volumes. I wonder if the quality of the book is higher than CE’s, or if it’s just inflation increasing the cost of printing.

Indeed, but they removed book 30 and 31 from the website (edit: ah, they moved them under the "books" section).
Is that a brand new cover for book 1? Book 2 and 3, they look like the covers from the Italian edition but book 1, I can't seem to identify where it comes from.

Sorry to keep spamming this thread… 16 pounds shipping for just book 1! So 30 pounds for the bundle is actually a bargain, I guess. I’m going to hold off and make sure those prices are right.
Only love for Ben and Co., my frustration is with the state of global shipping that is causing these prices.

I'm going to hold off as well to wait to see what's going on. If 2 & 3 don't have new illustrations then I'm not sure I can really justify buying them yet again and I may just get 1.
