Okay, good catches, guys. Will get right on those bugs... (btw the Warhammer has more than 1 special ability - for some reason it is not displaying all of them. It does give +2 CS vs. animals.)

However, I tried your special weapon bonus rules. In book 1, I exchange my Axe for Hermit's Warhammer, which hint states: "x1,5 damage vs. bandits". However, later on, when I fought against Burrowcrawler, it strangely give me +2 CS bonus against him fixed - it now displays *all* of the bonuses associated with special weapons in the tooltip. Your right - they are now counted as such. The bonus will apply as expected. Yes, it does, and they now display correctly. This is now fixed. It's a serious bug, preventing the player from finishing the book correctly - so I'll need to do another bug-fix release.

Was playing Caverns of kalte, on page 29 after deciding to jump from the sled the text asks if you have the Sommerswerd 0r if you have mind over matter. The mind over matter option was grayed out even though I had the skill.
It was selectable if I chose to edge to the rear of the sled before jumping.

Fixed the negative damage bug.
fixed the book 3 - sec 29 - you can now choose to use either Sommerswerd or Mind over matter if you have both.
If anyone else has a bug to report, do it quick, as I'd like to put up the next bugfix tonight (that Helghast problem is big!)

Hi there! Just discovered Project Aon and this program, brings back memories from the late 80s when I discovered these books.
I'm having the same problem as r4vage, as well as a crash whenever I try to save the game. I assume the crashing between books is related to it saving the campaign as well. I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 3 if that helps.
Under error signatures is: AppName: lone wolf.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: physfs.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00001ef5
Hope this helps!

Thanks r4vage and cell, for the bug report. This one may require further investigation...
r4vage could you post your system specs? (at least OS)
In order to get a better understanding of what's going on, does the program crash when you try to save it at any time? (Either from closing the program in the middle of an adventure, or by manually saving it?) Does it save the profiles you create? (Create a new profile, and close the program. On restarting it, did it load the profile you just created?)
Also, look for a file in the Seventh Sense install folder called "stdout.txt" - it may or may not have pertinent information in it. (It may or may not even exist - it is usually not there if the program is functioning correctly.)
Also, would each of you please run the installer one more time and install to a folder *other* than Program files? (Something like C:\Games\Seventh Sense would be great.) I wonder if it is a permissions issue, and that Program Files doesn't want to accept being written to by the program.
Thanks guys! We'll get it tracked down!

Ok, running commentary of what I'm doing to see where it goes wrong. Uninstalled and reinstalled to c:\games\Seventh Sense Created a profile, quit program, restarted, profile still there. Downloaded book 1, started a campaign, went through a couple of sections, then chose to quit. Restarted program, option to resume campaign is not selectable. Started a new campaign. Went through a couple of sections, tried to save game, and the program crashes. Checked the Seventh Sense folder, stdout.txt does exist, but contains no information. Restarted program, profile is still saved. Option to resume campaign is selectable, but selecting it results in a crash. Hope this helps in tracking down what the problem might be.

I've got it figured out and fixed. Just have to resolve one other small annoyance, and the next bugfix release is ready. Edit: Boy, I just hate it when release code does not function the same as debug code. Still, I got all of these blasted bugs... Or should I say I got all of the bugs blasted! Uploading now...

Okay, thanks to everyone for the quick bug-hunting! The latest and greatest 1.4.4 is now ready for download. I have succesfully addressed all reported bugs. (and even incorporated most, though not all, suggestions!) Keep posting any other issues you find here in this thread. Thanks!

Hi, maybe it is an error, I'm unsure. In book 2, section 314. If you choose not to eat the food (or you have Hunting), you lose 3 EP immediately. Maybe you should choose to eat a food from your backpack (if you have some) to avoid EP loss.

Maybe you should choose to eat a food from your backpack (if you have some) to avoid EP loss. That might have been the bug I wrongly pinpointed a few times before... Also, I tried to move the Seventh Sense window as it was loading the campaign, and it crashed. (This is 1.4.4)

That might have been the bug I wrongly pinpointed a few times before... It is the same - I've just been interpreting the text and footnote strictly. However, I'm now thinking of a good way to accomodate the various ways people would like to play this one. I can understand the desire not to lose 3EP just before a big fight, and really, it's not like LW couldn't just eat a meal from his pack instead of the hot tray of food... I can only offer the same advice that the doctor gave to his patient when the patient said "Hey Doc, it hurts when I do this..." : Don't do that. I tried moving mine while loading and it worked fine. Maybe wait a few more seconds until it's loaded and then move it into place. I think it's more of a window manager error, as I've had strange issues like that when trying to move other SDL programs while they are doing initialization.
