But of course, being the Supreme Master, his Kai Alchemy will fire automatically and Soft Fall will save him. Either that, or his Grand Huntmastery will minimise the atrocious damage so that he still survives!

I'm going to say that, being drunk on Bor Brew, he doesn't realize he's falling and therefore makes no attempt to save himself.

That's why I said automatically. Besides isn't he immune to poison? Alcohol is a poison, ergo he cannot get drunk.

I could continue my side of the argument, but I shall concede, and concoct a new stupid way for Lone Wolf to get himself killed.

I am not sure I would call alcohol a poison, per say, and I sure hope that LW can get drunk, because as I am LW (at least that is what the books keep telling me) and I like to have the occasional pint or ten, then so does LW
But Dusk Fox, please do not let my intervention in this stop you from concocting a new and stupid way for LW to get himself killed, as always, I am looking forward to your humour.

Of course it's a poison, though alcoholism is a disease.

Its only poisonous if taken in large quantites, it is a drug otherwise, but this is splitting hairs, and I am still awaiting DFs new and stupider way for LW to bite the big one Al

Okay--new stupid way for Lone Wolf to kill himself (I should start a thread where I throw these out and the rest of you counter it--what do you think?).
Having attained the rank of Grand Master of Funk, Lone Wolf is now such a human powerhouse and reliquary of the spiritual power of Kai that he issues an invitation to Qinefer, stating he is now up to her standards of manliness. His plan is to kill her with the Sommerswerd when she gets close enough, since he's bitter about how badly she spurned him and how pretentious and arrogant she used to be. However, Qinefer has now eaten Kai, Ishir, and Naar, and is Aon, so she knows what Lone Wolf is planning. She shows up, but rather than using her vast power to kill him, she just kicks his butt and murders him with her axe, because she was always a better warrior than he was, anyway.

But if Lone Wolf was the Grand Master of Funk, surely he could hypnotise Q****** with a song and dance routine about his Chocolate Salty Balls? Or, harking back to a very early thread about Lone Wolf and Banedon, perhaps he could sing about how super everything is.

Or, harking back to a very early thread about Lone Wolf and Banedon, perhaps he could sing about how super everything is. Lone Wolf is a Ranger, not a Bard--he doesn't get that special class ability. And even if he did, since Qinefer is naturally better at anything than he is, she'd just use the Brown Note to defeat him. Besides, you know the only song he could use to defeat her is "a Morning After," and he'd have to sing it backwards.

He could always sing "Early one morning..." and transform her back into that Cloeasian peasant girl. Then again, he could invoke the 1/year "Wrath of Dever" and banish Qinefer back into the sucking void that spawned her, also resurrecting Kai, Ishir, Naar and the true Aon at the same time.

Bardsmanship is one of the New Order Disciplines, so obviously Lone Wolf has developed his own powers of entertainment.
Or maybe he could defeat her when she contracts a common cold when returning to Magnamund?

I wish the "Wrath of Dever" was invoked and Q****** was sucked into a void, maybe she could become Kekataag's consort or Jantoor's companion ( a bit like Leia in Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi)... Runeheart feverishly imploring tolerance from Ishir...* please don't start another tangent,* I just wish she was gone...

That's why I said automatically. Besides isn't he immune to poison? Alcohol is a poison, ergo he cannot get drunk. NS. As of the barge tap-room scene in_The Jungle of Horrors_, Bor-brew is still capable of messing him up pretty badly, even if he has the Magnakai Discipline of Curing and the Magnakai Rank of Primate (if he rolls a low number). Of course, I don't recall him drinking anything in the Grand Master series, so maybe Kai has, indeed, inflicted the horrible curse of permanent sobriety on him in return for the ability to grow back lost limbs. Hell of a price to pay, if you ask me. (Of course, to be a *real* nitpicker about it, Adgana Leaves still work as advertised, with the potential for addiction and all, through the entire Lone Wolf series. I think Kai curing skills only work on substances that are 100% poisons designed to kill your body period. It might not work on chemicals you ingest on purpose for their desirable effects.)
