I'm an astronomer by training, but working as a software engineer. Fortunately, it's in a related science field, so the change wasn't too bad. It's a good job, and I may be able to get into astronomy work again in the future.

If you really wanna know.... my job is nothing. I sit on my fat ass all day, and get money from the stupid government, because at age 14 I had a brain hemmorhage, which caused me to lose the use of my right hand. Christ, I suck. I can't even drive. My eyesight sucks. I had a brain hem' when I was born, or so they say. My right leg is a lil shorter then my left, so my mom and the stupid doctors thought I had cerebral palsy. I do not. I just wanna be rich. That way, I can afford all the things I always wanted. I still live with my mom and step-dad. Go ahead and make fun. There nothing to be funny in your situation HW. For me, I'm working as a security officer. It's not well paid (12,55$ Can) for the job I do sometime. Now I must work where they have reserved the parking on the street to some costumer of a compagny who send parcel by bus. But the thing it's that new street parking was a landing stage for the bus station, which deserve two big towns. Very fun sometime when I must fight with some people to get out of the way. Just a little before of that job, I have do night/day patrol for an important bank. My prime objective during the nigth, was to get out the homeless who's was sleeping inside the guichet. When they are 10 inside and you are alone to get them out, that's funny. On day, I won't say what I have to do. In short, it's a nice job and I love the challenge that the job have to offer but sometime you are under-pay (don't know if it can say it like that).

I work as a researcher for a Member of Scottish Parliament, am in the Canadian Army Reserve (attached to the British Territorial Army) and am doing a PhD in politics.
I am very busy, which is why I spend so much time online! Al

Boring retail worker, I do the jobs the manager can't be bothered with (like serving customers) I have done a diploma and am looking for work in conveyancing (the legal process of property ownership, buying, renting, leasing, etc)... being a husband and father to a bunch of misfits... (the joys of suburban mediocrity).
But at night when they are all asleep, I follow my true calling...

But at night when they are all asleep, I follow my true calling... LOL! Sorry, but after a comment like that, I just have to share this one . . . An English comedian, Jimmy Carr, placed some wacky small ads in papers around the country. One of them he placed in the lonely hearts column was: " Nemesis wanted: I'm 5'10, into kayaking, books and conversation (by day) justice, honour and vengeance (by night). Seeking arch-enemy, possibly crimelord or deformed megalomaniac. Call xxxx-xxx-xxx." (More of his stuff can be found here.)

yes...thanks for sharing, although I anticipated others to pick up on the idea (anyway, Paladin of Ravayne,Kai Lord Silverwind, Dwarven Engineer and pilot of the Skymountain, the list is endless, anyone know a deformed crimelord with some free time...)

Oh awesome, a chance to talk about myself.
I'm 22. I quit my job as a tennis coach to work as a paralegal, and I just started my masters in law - I'll probably do my major in commercial.

University student. Although depending on what the letter I get back from the BATFE says, I may just end up a millionaire overnight. Well, more like by this time next year. Patents take awhile to get.
