We had a thread about the ages of the members of PA, where they are living and so on, but I don't remember seeing a thread about their occupations. So, are you a student, a sailor, a president, a garbage man, an astronaut, an actor for X-rated movies...? I would like to see what kind of persons we have here.
As for me, this is my third year as an university student (Communication Sciences).

Software developer, of telecom O&M systems at Ericsson. In a sort of "lead programmer" role, which means lots of sorting out the perpetual mess (on this forum also known as [nuts] :-)) that always comes with large systems, and less of actual programming.

Hospital lab night supervisor....I basically work by myself most of the night, though.
And if all my proofreaders would ever return my book so I can edit it, I may actually be a first-time author.

I'm the evil accountant at a health district/preventive care facility in East St. Louis, IL. They had a good one, but I corrupted her long ago.

Oops. I should never have written the above. All of a sudden Ericsson decides to relocate the O&M systems development I have worked with, so no more of that. Luckily, this does not mean unemployment, I'll automatically be offered another positions somewhere within Ericsson unless I find one on my own. But darn, I liked this job.

Intergalactic space warrior.
Actually, I'm a real odd-job. No, i don't throw my hat. But I do about everything else. You could probably call me a professional student, as graduation, though seemingly coming next year, is actually millenia away. Currently I'm developing a new card game as a side job, and my daily job is working at a place which develops language programs for teachers.
