sc2.sourceforge.net/Anyone a fan of Star Control 2? If you like epic adventures with deep backstories, a sense of humor, and bad guys who are genuinely human in character (alien though they may be), SC2 is for you! One of these days I'm going to write a real SC3, one which will totally wipe out all memory of the "official" sequel. It might have to be a gamebook or something since I can't code worth crap (despite having taken and passed classes in C++, Basic, TrueBasic, QBasic, Visual Basic, COBOL, Java...), but I will write it. And it won't have horrible puppets!

Anyways, back to other video games...
Anyone here a Metroid fan?
Playing Echoes right now, and I have to say they've done a very very good job. I haven't played a game this fun, or large, in a good while.

I played through most of it back in January when I was sick for a few days, and didn't really leave the couch. I've gotten very close to the end, having found all the Dark World special hidden keys and am trying to defeat this really tough badguy. I haven't touched it in weeks so I haven't finished this yet, but I have gotten this guy down to his last 'incarnation'. Haven't really been able to figure out how to damage it much without getting myself killed.

I bought the Final Fantasy: Dawn of Soul (FF I & II on the same gamepack) for GBA last week. I never played a FF game before, and I must say that I like it so far. I'm in the Sky Palace right now.

Wow, the Sky Palace already! That's the one you get to by taking the transporter from Mirage Tower, right? How do you find the time to get that far in a week, and still post prominently, and work, and sleep too? Back on track, it is a fun game though, eh?

WOW. That brings back memories. If you do go on to play other Final Fantasies, the best of the bunch were FF4, FF7, and FF10.

The last time I saved, it displayed that it took me 9:30 hours to get there. I bought the game last Thursday, so it makes an average of less than 2 hours of game play a day... Yes I really like it. I still need to make the extra dungeons (the ones that are blocked by the statues of the Fiends). Zipp: Yes, I heard that FF7 was especially good. I don't know if I'm going to buy other FF games though: they are pretty rare, even in stores that are selling used games. If a Lone Wolf RPG video game is made, I think it would be good to make it like these games. The four members of the party could be Lone Wolf (fighter), Banedon (Monk), Rimoah (Priest) and Prarg (scout) or a Vakeros.

You should be able to pick up FF10 easily. I would really go for it if I were you. That was one of the best ones.
And check out Advent Children...
... for the hundreth time, I say this.

Wow, I can't imagine getting that far in so short an amount of time. Maybe the characters level up faster than they used to so battles go by quicker, but on my NES it probably would have taken 10 hours just to get to Melmond to explore the Earth Cave! Let's see, with necessary leveling up, first hour for Temple of Fiends, second to get the ship in Pravoka, third through fifth to get tough enough to explore the Marsh Cave and look at everything in the area and buy stuff, sixth hour for the first trip to the Marsh Cave, get the crown, and leave (hopefully not poisoned!), seventh hour to fight Astos, return the crystal, get the antidote, heal the prince, and get the key, eighth and ninth hours to pick up all the treasure with the key, including in the Marsh Cave, and get the channel opened by Nerrick. Hour 10: Arrive in Melmond. How in the world did you do it?

I really don't know how I made it so fast. I just thought I was going at a smooth rhythm...The only explanation that I see is that I'm a videogame freak ;D. I remember playing Ice Hockey on the NES (ya know, the 4-on-4 hockey with Big, Medium and Skinny players?) and beatting Team USA using Team Canada to a score of 109 to 9!
EDIT: I just killed Tiamath and got Excalibur. The time is now of 13:45...I lost some time exploring a little bit, selling my cheapest weapons to different shops.

Wow, still very impressive. I know the game well, and it would still take me quite awhile to get to that point you're at. Nice job! Oh, and congrats on your 5th star BC! That makes 4 of us over the 500-post mark. ;D
