Andyr: I'm stumped! That's truly a fiendish question. The answer I posted (then deleted) wasn't correct because it was a book in the same series.
I think you might have to post the answer . . .

I don't know the answer to the question, but it sounds like the sort of wacky self-referentialism I would expect to find in a JH Brennan gamebook. Maybe during your travels around Dracula's Castle in that Horror Classics book you come across a library stuffed with GrailQuest books? Just a wild guess, really, since I haven't seen the book since 1992 or thereabouts, but I thought it was worth a punt.

Doomy is almost there... I guess outspaced was thinking of FF17, where you can go to a bookstore and buy the last FF book! Well, a bit of a clue: the book in question is actually by JH Brennan, but it is a Grailquest book! and the series features a character with half of the name of a famous Kai Lord (plus an asterisk). If you cannot get it with this, I'll just add that the books are at the bottom of a well... and if you cannot beat it with this, I'll just give it to Doomy.

You can find the Sagas of the Demonspawn book Fire*Wolf in a well in a GrailQuest book? Which one?! (If I'm right, give it to Doomy. I thought it might be a Brennan book, but I couldn't think of any, so I assumed it was crazy ol' Edward Packard of the CYOA books. And yeah, Andyr, I was thinking of FF17: Appointment with F.E.A.R. where you can buy a copy of FF1: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain!)

Going out on a limb here. . . I say *possible spoiler to Zipp's question* the results were: Nitaly, Mellyn, Equator, Ceyol Ceylon, Equator, in that order. How'd I do? I think I know the answer to the other question too, but will give others a chance! I think you got the right answer, but I can't tell for sure because you used Equator twice! However, everyone else is correct, and I think I know what you meant to use. Good job!

Nice question Zipp, that was a tough one. But does Rel has to ask a question, since your original question was about Lone Wolf and that it is not answered yet?

Naw, that was a bonus question for those of you who don't have the Lone Wolf text. Glad you enjoyed it, though.
To avoid confusion and cropping up of questions, I'll hold the LW question as the one for the prize.

In Grailquest 4, Voyage of Terror (where Merlin gets a penchant for living at the bottom of wells) you find one of his former abodes where he has lots of useless junk, and among the alchemical equipment there are "a couple of adventure gameboos featuring an idiot called Fire*Wolf"...
I guess the answer should go between Doomy and outspaced now...

Well, they can fight amongst themselves for the glory of the question, or one of them can answer another logic puzzle, the first to answer correctly getting to go. Referee Zipp

I own that book as well. That said, it's my least-read copy of a GrailQuest book. I think we should give Doomy another chance to foil our knowledge!

All right, in the interests of getting things rolling again, here's a question:
In which gamebook can you try to talk your way past an inquisitive guard by claiming to have recently performed at the Allmother Hostel in Druath Glennan?
Book, series and author names required, please.

By the way, my Lone Wolf question still stands. Any takers? I'll drop a hint later today.

I think you got the right answer, but I can't tell for sure because you used Equator twice! However, everyone else is correct, and I think I know what you meant to use. Good job! Ack! Meant Nitaly, Mellyn, Equator, Ceyol Ceylon, Armenia! And for book 19 question, since nobody's taken it, I'm guessing Blazer is the one with the red hair, and even though my book doesn't show that part, I'm thinking it's because he's the only one with a bow.Is this it?

Abosultely right! My book doesn't show color (does yours?), but the bow is a dead give away as it is Blazer who fires at the Eagle if you take too long to fight it. Alright, Rel, you are up. Keep the ball rolling.

Gonna think on this one overnight again, and post tomorrow morning. Just got home from class, so I'm not feeling overly creative right now.
