Let me start off by saying: I can't wait to play this! UrQuan: Would it be possible for you to post links to the download of the Source Code for Seventh Sense S like Dave did for Seventh Sense? The reason I ask is that I'd love to build a package of this for Arch Linux like we already have for Seventh Sense (out of self interest as that is where I would play it): aur.archlinux.org/packages/seventhsense It would also be really nice if you could store the source in something like Github, but I'm happy to take it in whatever form I can get it. Thanks for bringing Seventh Sense back to life!

For a challenge, I tried starting a new campaign on book 7, but could only select custom rules Started with CS 17 E 30 Got my CS up to 24 with Weaponmastery and finding the armor and helmet early in book 7 (with custom rules) Weird, I can only select BtB. There's a Shield in book 7 too! As far as I know it's the last time you can acquire one. Castle Death really decks you out if you know where to look. Shame about the backpack though. Going through and doing all the Fresh Start awards is a fun thing to do. I did something similar with all the Epic Failures a few years ago, that was a blast. UrQuan: Would it be possible for you to post links to the download of the Source Code for Seventh Sense S like Dave did for Seventh Sense? Yes, please. I'd love to tinker with it and try to add some additional features. Unfortunately UrQuan hasn't posted since February (or updated SSS either). Not sure why, I know he reads the boards.

Is there any way to edit saved games?

Not that I know of, SS/S is pretty cheat-proof.

Not that I know of, SS/S is pretty cheat-proof. It is cheat proof for backpack and special items. But with Cheat Engine you can modify your Current Endurance, Gold, and initial CS if you choose to Roll Stats You can also change the number of items that have doses. i.e 3 doses of something can be changed to 20. I had 4000 GP in storage once

Firstly, thank you for making this. As an 80's kid who idolized Denver's work, and bought every Lonewolf my B. Dalton's bookstore carried diligently, this is pure nostalgia. I cannot seem to find the option to save anywhere in options and game rules. Am I missing something?
Lastly, is there any word on an update of this. Fullscreen would be most welcome. And, I'm quite excited to finally be able to play Freeway Warrior's series and noted you'd added those as placeholders.

It saves your progress automatically. When you click "quit to system" in the main menu it will save before closing. If the program ever crashes I'm not sure exactly what happens, but I imagine that you wouldn't lose all your progress.
UrQuan hasn't visited the forums in a month, and his last post was Feb 24th. Not sure what's going on, hopefully he comes back at some point.

It'd be nice to be able to at least get a single save to continue. I hope he returns, I'd adore being able to do the Greywolf series and Highway one too.

There's only a save/load option if you enable that in settings.txt before you start your campaign, and you have to select the Custom ruleset to do so, otherwise BtB, Hardcore, and Prodigy will overwrite all gameplay settings to their particular set (and none of those allow mid-book save/load). I've found that, in general, the gameplay settings functionality in version S is rather buggy so I'm not even sure if it's possible to select the Custom ruleset.
If you can get it to work, fine, but if not, I'd suggest using vanilla SS until UrQuan returns to update his fork.

Ah. I was missing that folder and file. Luckily, I used my previous version's setting's file from user/appdata/locallow/projectaon, Copied the settings.txt for that, turned on both fullscreen and save and made a folder in documents with seventh sense and popped it in. The downside was having to start from book 1 again. The upside is being able to save when I like, and fullscreen. So, I do appreciate the help tortle. It was worth it.

I recently noticed some options were removed, comparing to the original Seventh Sense program. I agree about dual wield, but I noticed also Weaponskill and Healing stacking were removed AND were disabled by default in the settings file.
Anyone knows why? I found it realistic.. why, for example, should Lone Wolf lose one point of healing per section when starting the Magnakai serie?
Also, can you confirm we're talking exactly about the following strings in the settings file? I don't want to mess things up:
HEAL_STACKING: 0 WS_STACKING: 0
Anyone also knows if they are someway broken in Seventh Sense S? I want to start a no-death run and I don't want to encounter problems.
Also, for a 1-20 no death run, do you think starting with 19/29 would be too easy?

Changing the values to 1 should turn the setting on, 0 will turn it off. If there are more options available for a setting than just two, then 2, 3, etc. will be used but you may have to experiment as I don't think Urquan ever officially addressed what each number corresponds to. I believe the two settings above would be for Healing Stacking and Weaponskill Stacking.
