Last it = the english language itself
I think a tweak can make both 'it' refer to the english language itself, and it's gramatical nit-picking to say, but again, it's what's fun about the language...and evil

Book 4, section 102 : Your men draw their swords and advance on the strangers. The hooded men immediately raise their hands and emerge from beneath the stone canopy. One of the men drops a small earthenware flask full of clear fluid and it shatters on the hard marble floor. A search of their bodies reveals 12 Gold Crowns and enough food for 2 Meals. Make the necessary adjustments to your Action Chart. Around their necks they wear wooden amulets carved in the likeness of small fish. It is a copy of section 44, which does not make sense here (the Redeemers have not been killed). |

I think the issue is that in the English language, to 'search a body' gives the implicit idea that the person is dead, or at least unconscious. To 'search a conscious person's body' somehow doesn't work in English; more 'explicit' (i.e. direct, not necessarily sexual) and less euphemistic language would normally be used, such as 'searched [or, probed] one's cavities [or, orifices]'. Thus, if you're really unlucky and get stopped at customs and they think you're smuggling something unpleasant, you'll likely be subjected to a 'body cavity search' (not a 'body search'). Not a pleasant thought.  I've raised this over on the ML with the option of changing "...search of their bodies..." to something like "...search of their robes..." or "...search of their possessions..." or similar. It'll get fixed ASAP, I'd think. |

The fact is that I remembered getting the holy water from the Redeemers after having scared them, which is false. The inconsistency was that they dropped the vial of holy water then gave it to you. I thought of a copy/paste mistake.
Having retrieved my paper version of the book, I found that the section was the same (including the fact that Lone Wolf steals their belongings and does not give them back after having recognized them, which is IMO a shame given his personality... but whatever, it is the text that has been written by Joe Dever).
My mistake, then.

Another one, not in the known list : Book 10, section 155 You reach a square near the centre of the town where a unit of enemy reserves are gathered, awaiting the order to join the battle. They are Krorn--hideous-looking creatures from the Moggador and Akamazim forests. They are approached by a swarthy giant of a man, with a short black beard and shiny bald head, who brandishes a massive war-axe fashioned from a fiery red metal. The axe must weigh more that its wielder but he waves it above his head as if it were no heavier than a stick of wood. "more than" would be better, I think. |

Hey there! That's a good catch--and it is printed that way in the Red Fox edition. I wonder why no one ever saw it before. If you post your full name (you can send me a PM if you don't want your full name on the forum) I'll credit you as a Special Thanks in Book 10. We're still revising Books 1-8 (very nearly almost done) and will probably go on to revise 9 and 10 very quickly afterwards, judging by how little work there is left to do to them. So you should see your credit quite quickly! Edit: And please post any other anomalies or errors you spot in the books! It helps us to make the books as good as possible. Thanks. |

Way ahead o' yer! That's been fixed in the xml for a few months. Thanks for pointing it out to us, though. And please post any other typos you spot. Every little typo fixed in the earlier books is a big achievement these days!
