I've been into anime for several years now. Back when I was younger I would always watch shows such as InuYasha, Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakisho, etc. I think the best anime I have ever seen in my life is Ayashi no Ceres (in the US just called 'Ceres'). If you are like me and love violence and romance (not to mention a bit of nudity, lol) this is a great anime. There will be times where it will piss you off because it likes to confuse the [nuts] out of you for the longest times and then make you understand later. www.animenfo.com/animetitle,56,awtyyy,ayashi_no_ceres.html There are quite a few other good anime out there you just have to look for them. Many are little or not known (sounds a bit like Lone Wolf).

If you liked Ceres, you'd probably enjoy some of CLAMP's other work. I'll see if I can find a list of stuff they did. You'd probably also like Escaflowne, and possibly Angel Sanctuary.

Back when you were younger! The shows have only been on in the U.S. for a couple years! My goodness, back when I was younger is a very relative term based on one's age! When I say that, I mean at least seven to ten years ago, and for Ronan it's just a couple! Makes me feel old. . . ~Relenoir, who really is NOT that old!

Younger... well, I was younger yesterday, but I rarely fele that I've matured much since childhood, so I don't use the term often.
When I do, it generally refers to a time before I had to worry about school, or getting a job.

Escaflowne is pretty good and my girlfriend loves Angel Sanctuary to death but I don't know anything about it really. Chobits is my girlfriend's favorite Manga. I've bought her most of the series. She's managed to get quite a few of the others from family members for Christmas and whatnot. My favorite manga series is slightly lesser known, Cross. Daemon Slayers is pretty good too.
Right now she is reading Crazy Love Story and she is trying to get me into it but I am just not biting. My relationship with her is complicated enough, I don't feel like reading about the complications of other relationships.

I know Cross. Of course, if it came out before 2004, I probably know it. Unfortunately I have not read it myself. This is the one about the priest, correct?
Let me reccomend Blade of the Immortal. This is possibly the best manga I have ever read. It goes fairly well with Cross. You'd enjoy it. Published in the States by Dark Horse.

Recently, late at night, a friend and I watched The Princess Bride and Ninja Scroll back-to-back on DVD. Although I had seen Ninja Scroll before, I'm not sure whether it was my tiredness, the enjoyment difference between the two films or what, but I fell asleep halfway through Ninja Scroll! Nerd points for anyone who knows the link between The Princess Bride and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
NS.

Well, that's no biggy. My mom fell asleep during Hero.
It has to do with tiredness and a rare disease that somie people encounter near their twenties which stops them from staying awake during movies. Me? I can't sleep during a movie... even the really bad ones.
