So that's why you've not posted here for a few days - you were waiting for your new thesaurus to arrive. Actually, I've been working on my Fighting Fantasy Atlas of Titan, with over 40% of the write-ups now complete. A work-in-progress is available from my website, though I have completed three more since I uploaded it on Friday. There's still a long way to go, though. Still, at least Shadow on the Sand has just been re-released on the PA site, with all known issues fixed

Well done. I was wondering if you could enlighten me as to the reasoning behind the new single-page versions? Are they for people using text interpreters or something?

Yeah, that's one aim of the single-page versions; the other is to create a small, self-contained way to play the game online or on mobile phones, I'd guess. One thing that's been stressing poor old Jon is how to output from xml -> single page html for books with number puzzles based on illustrations (e.g. Shadow on the Sand Section 331). If the illustrations are present, such as in the full versions of the books, any written description could be hidden as ALT-Text for the image. But when outputting to the single-page version, there are no images, meaning the text is lost. So to avoid having to create a hack for such books, thereby making them more difficult to maintain and update, it was finally decided to include the text below the small map illustration when the map is involved (see the map from Book 5 as an example). It is not yet clear what method will be used for non-map based puzzle illustrations, such as the security-code door in Highway Holocaust; possibly they will be footnotes. Watch this space.

Back on the topic of this thread, with the revelation concerning that 2nd Kai Monastery in Southern Magnamund, what does it mean to you? Some people say that we will see new Kai recruits that are not from Sommerlund. However, my own interpretation of this is that it will help to keep an eye on something very dangerous down there. Return of Agarash anyone?

I can't find how to hide the text so I'll try not to spoil and still be understandable.
EDIT: Thanks Doomy.
My prediction is that GM will be in charge of that Monastery. He will have some reasons to move down south (Oriah?), why not in Suhn? Rimoah said it in book 22: the elder magi are dying while Kai is growing. Well, let's grow and finish off Naar!
YES!

Indeed, that little remark by Rimoah was a message about the things to come. However, if I always said that Oriah would be back in at least one of the last 4 books, I don't think that the reason for it is the one you mention, Blaise. My own idea is that the new Monastery will be built near Naaros. And I do believe like you that the NO GM will be in charge of it (at least, for a while). Several people think that Agarash will be back in the 4 last books, so a book set near Naaros is very probable.

There are indeeds signs pointing toward a return of Agarash, for some reasons I don't like the idea. I don't know, it's too predictable. Plus, too many book since the end of the Magnakai serie have been about some old evil coming back or some old artefact being found. Except maybe books 18 and 19 where Naar found new ideas (even then, he was using an old artefact, the moonstone to send his vilains).
Why not Naar himself?
Or Lone Wolf becoming evil? That might sound too much like Darth Vader but... oh yeah it does sound too much like Vader or Harry potter. Forget it.

I didn't read any book of Harry Potter, just saying this cause I heard some critics on tv saying that books 4-5-6 seems to be pointing toward this end. So no spoiler.

So, what exactly would happen if Lone Wolf (or the GM) killed off Naar? I may be taking this from the Legends series, but it was my impression that if there were no good gods and evil gods fighting, the balance would be thrown off to the point where Aon no longer has to exist. Well, unless there's a major evil god other than Naar who we don't know about.

Well, unless there's a major evil god other than Naar who we don't know about. You mean like a god for the god? Like an even higher identity than the god itself? What we know is that Naar is only one of the several gods (I think they are five in total) that make up the Pantheon of Evil, but he is probably the most powerful. By killing Naar, we would still have 4 other guys to take his place.

Spoiler :
If I recall correctly, Lone Wolf killed one of these Gods in book 20. I can't remember the name, it was the warrior God worship by the drakarrims.
So there would be 3 Gods left, maximum.

Wow, I didn't even know about any of the other gods...I'm really only familiar with the books on PA because I live in the USA. (I'm moving soon though)
