I just wanted to update everyone on where things are at the moment.
Those who have asked for credit are having shipments sent out to them within 24-48 hours.
For those who have asked for refunds, we are making payments everyday. However, we simply cannot refund everyone at once, and so we are asking for patience. We will get to everyone but it will take time.
I appreciate that this is frustrating for some, but there is no other way of doing things. We will honour our obligations, as we have done for many people already but we cannot do everyone at once. Due to the number of you, this is simply impossible.
However, if you bear with us, we will attend to everyone in turn.

In order to forestall any disappointment, I should also point out that we are offering pro-rata refunds based on the value of books received, not the value of books not received. This is because this subscription was a 'deal' and, if we did this on the value of books not received we would, in some cases, be in a position of refunding more than was paid in the first place.
Should be obvious, but just want to make everything clear on this point.

"Should be obvious, but just want to make everything clear on this point."
We obviously have no say in the matter, but subtracting the so called 'value' of the books received as our refunds is totally unfair.
For $600 we were offered the following: - Books 1-28 of the original Lone Wolf game books - Books 29-32 NEW Lone Wolf game books -Lone Wolf Novels: Agarashi Trilogy -Lone Wolf Novels: Lencian Trilogy
We are receiving ~$195 of the $600 commitment as a refund. ...(32.5%) we got 17 of 32 lone wolf game books and two book 1's of cancelled trilogies...the refund should be much higher.
-50% refund($300) if you consider 32 lone wolf game books + 2 trilogies is what we were offered (19 of 38 books)
~44% refund($265) if you disregard books 2/3 of the trilogies...(19 of 34 books)
~40.5% refund ($243) if you disregard the trilogies completely and pretend the 2 stand alone 'novels' were actually what we paid for; Lone Wolf Game Books...(19 of 32 books)
The 2nd option...44% ($265) refund seems to be the most reasonable to me, but it doesn't really matter.
How is it fair that you expect us to take the financial hit when you change the list price on a books you began printing at 9.95EU (~ $12.99usd) to $29.99. This was a bait and switch on something we paid a premium for 6 years ago!!
Turns out we were complete fools to put our trust in mongoose publishing. (I was able to put up with the numerous delays, but also lowballing us on the refund after such lackluster service...)
Based on this method of refunding you could have just printed book 17 with a giant $300 value on that back and told us all that we got more than what we paid for and just completely nullified any potential refund.
You previously said: "we have never in 12 years of business cheated anyone"...and look at this from the former mega deal customers viewpoint and see if you can honestly still say and believe this.
Like I said...I know there isn't anything we can do to change your mind, but grudgingly take the refunds and not do business with each other again. I'm sure this response will kick me even further down the 'refund list', but from what I can tell it's taken them 2 months to give one person a refund...so either way I'll probably never get my money anyways.

EDIT: Just to let people know that I received a refund from Mongoose today for £149.50. hawkytom: Redo your math: you've put the price in EURO while in the UK, they still use the POUND. 9.95£ = ~15.20 $US at the current rate. The refund of 149.50£ is ~228.34 $US. We're are closer to option 3 based on your scenarios, but there's a flaw in your reasoning... You have to count the exchange rate! Back on this day in 2007, 1 $US worthed ~0.5£, so the Mega-Deal was 299£ for UK residents and 599 $US for American ones. Today, 1 $US worths ~0.67£... Do you see where I'm going? You can't compare what Randomcode got as a refund today with $US because the exchange rate is different! He got 149.50£ for 50% of the Mega-Deal he paid 299£ back then! If you have paid the Mega-Deal in $US, you should also receive a 50% refund, so that's 299.50 $US! Wait until you see your refund: if it's not this amount of cash you get as a refund, then you could start complaining.

If I do receive a 50% refund for 50% of the books I'd be happy. Especially when you consider based on the original mega-deal timeline after about 6 years we would have reasonably expected to have nearly all the books by now. I guess we will have to see how much USD they refund me, $300 would be great. I'm curious what you paid in randomcode?? Was your refund 50%?

I just checked my paypal account. It seems that the Lone Wolf Megadeal was the reason for me to create my paypalaccount in the first place, since it was the first transaction i`ve ever made with it. So I can declare confirmable that in may 14th 2008 the price for european customers was exactly 299.95£ =)
Oh, and the average exangerate of that day was 0.7951 £/€ ...minus 2.5% processing fee for paypal of course ; )
