This is the response I received recently from Mongoose. Has anyone heard any differently?
"Here at Mongoose, we have spent quite some time trying to reach out to the new publishers of the Lone Wolf books with a view to purchasing copies from them to fulfil the Megadeals, as we did with Mantikore Verlag.
I regret to say that, despite a number of proposals from us, the new publishers are simply not prepared to supply us the new books under any reasonable conditions. When they finally deigned to talk to us, they made this position very clear, despite arguments that the only people hurt by this would be Lone Wolf fans. The best we could get out of them was an offer to sell the new books to Megadeal customers at a 10% discount, which you can take advantage of by emailing them at superiorofficers@gmail.com
I have to say, this whole process has left a very, very bitter taste in our mouths, not least because we have been readers of Lone Wolf ourselves since before we were teenagers and, along with the likes of Star Wars and D&D, the series was a formative part of our life-long fandom of fantasy and science fiction. To have things end this way is quite painful.
On a more practical note, the value of the books supplied through the Megadeal thus far has passed the amount they were sold at, and so we cannot reasonably make any refunds – please understand though that what we _want_ to do is continue supplying you with Lone Wolf books up to Book 32. However, that course of action is just not available to us.
That said, we are fans of the genre every much as you, and the last thing we want is to do is simply shut the book and turn our backs upon this situation – we have been on this journey with you for many years now, and we are really unhappy for things to have turned out this way. Mongoose has recently released a brand new edition of Traveller, and we are about to release a new edition of Paranoia later this year – both have been completely revamped and printed in full colour, a far cry from earlier editions. What we would like to do is send you a copy of the core book (box set for Paranoia) of each as a gift. Simply confirm your current postal address and we’ll get them to you (immediately for Traveller, as soon as it is printed for Paranoia). I realise this is not what you were expecting, but I cannot think of anything else we can reasonably do.
It is just left for me to say that I am personally very, very sorry for the way things have turned out. We have tried so hard to make this work, time and again, but there just does not seem to be any room to move with the new publishers. I can only hope that you can find a way to enjoy the new Lone Wolf books and find them to be worth the extra effort."

I got exactly the same form response.
I'm not sure how I'm going to respond other than the megadeal was for books and explicitly promoted as a cost efficient way to avoid price increases upfront.
What a mess.

I'm no lawyer, but I would recommend legal action against them if they refuse to either refund you or provide the books as promised (even if that requires them to buy them one by one from Holmgard Press to fulfill orders as customers complain....their difficulties in obtaining the books in bulk/wholesale aren't your problem IMO).
